2 x 24 hours: le mans and spa
For Vesti, Le Mans is a finished chapter. P5 in the LMP2 Pro-Am class is not what anyone hoped for. Rather, it is the experience itself and the experience that was so abundantly harvested.
"I came to Le Mans with no expectations at all really. I had no idea what I could or should expect. However, I had an idea about the many Danish fans that everyone is talking about. And that experience is one of the things that right now remains the strongest and truly stand out. What a sight to behold! They were everywhere. At the circuit of course but also at the drivers parade and at the many fan events - their presence was felt all over. Together with my Danish team mate Malthe Jacobsen, who drove the other car for my team, Cool Racing, we felt a sense of elation even before the adrenaline had kicked in. The Danish fans, the flags and the many happy faces and shouts of support provided us with a feeling of extra energy and being on top of the world. To every single fan, I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU. Thank you for attending the 24 Hour Le Mans Race and for the incredible support and unique atmosphere you created all around us.

In the race itself, Vesti's car no. 47 was challenged from the very get-go. A radiator problem cost a lot of laps. The team managed to make up 2 laps again during the 24 hours. Personally, Vesti got a lot out of the often harsh and wet weather conditions and difficult track.
"I was the one who drove the most laps in the car. I was in the car in all kinds of weather, but mostly when the conditions were the most tricky - in the rain and when the track dried up. My pace was quick out there and I made no mistakes throughout the 24 hours. I had but 3 hours of sleep during the entire race and burned 9,000 calories, which pretty well indicates that Le Mans is no joke! When I have to sum it all up, it is the night driving in torrential rain and the heavy traffic that really sticks with me and that I learned the most from during Le Mans. A big thank you to Cool Racing for having me along for a very COOL ride and to my two team mates for a great and unforgettable shared experience!
"
After this past week Vesti was back in Brackley in the Mercedes-AMF F1 simulator to prepare the car for the F1 Grand Prix in Catalunya, Spain. Vesti was pleased that the work in the simulator and at the races paid dividends and are now showing results on the track with a 3rd and 4th place for Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
"It is really good to see how we have progressed in Canada and now Spain. Stability is back. Lots of potential ahead.
"
Tomorrow, Vesti is at Spa to complete the preparations for the 24 hours race at SPA in GT3. Vesti will be the first AMG driver from the F1 team to participate in the legendary race at Spa.
"Driving at Spa is always great. Driving for AMG is something special. Since 2021 I have been part of AMG, so it was only natural for me to say yes to this proud anniversary when I had the opportunity and without commitments elsewhere. It is a completely new experience for me. I am very much looking forward to spending 24 hours in the company of two professional drivers, which means we have a strong chance for a good result. The night driving - never been more prepared after Le Mans! With 72 cars on the track, it will be a big challenge that I am so looking forward to.
"
Vesti's manager Dorte Riis will not be seen in the cheerleader section at Spa. She is instead at the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian F1 Grand Prix, where work has to be done in the corridors, still in a difficult drivers market, which right now seems to defy most logic.
