Official launch of the new Mercedes F1 car - W13

Two incredible and unforgettable days for Vesti!

Today Fred was presented along with the other junior drivers at Mercedes AMG F1 at Silverstone and with none other than Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Toto Wolff seated right next to them. A warm welcome and great and intelligent advice from the best of the best was given to the junior drivers.

An amazing feat in itself to have made it this far. But the hard work to get here only gets harder from now on. You must keep pushing, be able to process and implement a ton of new knowledge, constantly prove yourself worthy of wearing the Mercedes star and yield excellent results on the racetrack.

The new Mercedes F1 (W13) is breathtaking and absolutely stunning. A brand new car built from scratch. The W13 is the product of a complete redesign from top to bottom, with the steering wheel being the only carryover element from its predecessor because of the new 2022 regulations. It will be fascinating to see what this "beast" can do on the racetrack!

Vesti also got to visit the two Mercedes F1 factories in Brackley and the Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth. Innovation on a scale hard to imagine takes place here every day and employ more than a thousand people who basically work around the clock to optimize and perfect all the technology that goes into the making of the new W13.

Over the last few days we have been treated so nicely that I find myself at a loss for words to really describe it. We have been surrounded by so many passionate, skilled, dedicated and bright people catering to our every need and introducing us to the incredible world of Mercedes AMG F1.

We were made to feel like the center of the Mercedes Universe and given so much attention and time everywhere we went. It was an awesome experience and far beyond my wildest expectations. What a treat when you are being looked after this way ;-) A huge thank you to everyone!

I will never forget the launch of the W13 involving us junior drivers on stage and being interviewed by the top professional F1 reporter Natalie Pinkham and professional racing driver Naomi Shiff. I take away so many memorable moments from two very intense days in Brackley and Silverstone.

Another highlight was to be in the presence of Lewis Hamilton, Toto Wolff and of course George Russell that I have already spent a considerable amount of time with. Time is incredible scarce for these very busy guys and yet they were very generous and relaxed hence making us junior drivers feel at ease too. I learned so much from listening and observing carefully and that I'm sure will turn out very useful in the future, says Vesti.
