The cost of Vesti’s season has been blood, sweat and tears, but on a different level and quite literally the number one and highest cost has been money. A lot of money! Getting crucial financial support from loyal business partners is not something that you can ever take for granted. Vesti always carries this fact with him and most gratefully give thanks to his partners every single day.

When we drive on the track, EVERYTHING is at stake. But I also have that feeling outside the track, because a lack of funding of my career will jeopardize everything and bring my project, goal and dream to a complete stop. I have huge confidence in my manager and her daily hard work to find the big bucks. But it sharpens my senses and my hunger for success that we have to fight for this EVERY single day. Denmark is a small country, and with no tradition of supporting talents at the level required in my world. I have a genuine feeling that despite all the hardships we will come out successful! And my gratitude is therefore indescribable.

Vesti himself is not unfamiliar with rolling up his sleeves when it comes to sponsors. The business part itself he finds enormously fascinating. There has been a lot of bicycling around the local area and knocking on doors when he was younger and he has forced himself to take the floor at business gatherings to get attention around his project.

It was like that back in those days without a manager. It is completely different today, but the feeling of succeeding by putting in a big effort yourself is just really satisfying.

For Vesti, sponsors means a lot more than just money. There is a rather unusually close and personal relationship with each partner, and therefore sponsors mean the finest support for Vesti both financially and personally .

It has not been an easy season and I have been down occasionally. My sponsors obviously expect a lot from me. But at the same time, they are the ones who believe in me the most. They are always there for me, providing me with invaluable encouragement and are confident that I can do it. They themselves are winners and made of the right stuff - simply great people and a true inspiration as well. It gives me tremendous reassurance that I get so much personal backing and recognition no matter what happens. And then I have a huge sense of pride inside of me, because I have these people behind me, that I admire and look up to both on a business and personal level.
